Morzine has become one of the most popular resorts in France over the last 15 years and for good reason. It is part of the colossal 650km Portes Du Soleil linked ski area stretching across 13 resorts in France and Switzerland. The town itself has seen much investment and offers accommodation ranging from affordable apartments to hotels and luxury chalets. The vibrant town centre has plenty of shopping, fantastic restaurants and a great apres ski scene. With plenty of activities for non skiers it is the perfect resort for families, couples and groups of any sort. Travelling from Geneva to Morzine is easy and quick, making it is incredibly practical for short ski breaks as well as week-long holidays. We love Morzine, so much so we based our Alpine operations centre there.
Morzine’s immediate ski area links to Les Gets on one side and Avoriaz on the other. The Pleney and Les Gets area offers wonderful tree lined runs for all abilities. Fantastic learner slopes and plenty of wide sweeping pistes. For the more advanced there are plenty of bumps, steeps and deep snow to be found too. Towards Avoriaz and the wider Portes Du Soleil there are endless opportunities on higher slopes, high mileage skiing and fantastic terrain for every level. Advanced skiers and snowboarders can access some steep pistes including the famous Swiss Wall, patrolled off piste ‘snow zones’ and wonderful backcountry. For those of the freestyle persuasion there are some of the best parks in Europe and the unique Burton stash. The Portes Du Soleil is not to be missed. Number of lifts in the Portes Du Soleil: 206 Total km’s of piste: 650 km

The transfer from Geneva to Morzine takes just an hour and 10 minutes making it one of the shortest transfers available. It can be very busy on Saturdays and Sundays as both are big changeover days in resort. Other than holidaymakers taking transfers from Geneva to Morzine, the town attracts a lot of day skiers, due to its proximity to many local towns and cities. This can severely increase the volume of traffic on the road. All Morzine transfer services exit via the same road that services Avoriaz and Les Gets, so we always exercise caution and extend departure times on the weekends from New Year until the end of March. We also offer a shared service on all Morzine transfers from Geneva Airport.
