Chambery airport is situated beside Lac De Bourget between Chambery and Aix Les Bains in the Savoie region of France. Whilst it is perhaps not the largest or most developed airport in the region it's location provides reduced transfer times to the ski resorts of the Savoie. With one runway and a small but efficient terminal the airport handles both charter and regular services. There are flights to and from 12 destinations including 9 in the UK so you may well find a good flight option for your ski holiday.
As it is a small airport you will find the process of disembarking and collecting luggage easy and fairly swift. Once you have recovered your luggage from the carousel make your way into the arrivals hall where you will see your driver holding a Skiidy Gonzales board with your group's lead name written on it. Simply say hello and they will look after you and take you to the door of your accommodation in resort.
If for some reason you are unable to see your driver then please call our operations centre on +33450373685.
Weekends during the winter are very busy on the roads of the French Alps. Saturday is the traditional ski changeover day and continues to be the busiest day in Chambery. In recent years many accommodation providers have been using Sundays as the start of the week and although numbers are increasing it is a much easier day to travel. The short transfers to the Tarentaise from Chambery will help you maximise your time on snow.
On your departing transfer we will collect you from your accommodation in resort (pick up times sent by SMS the day before) and take you to Chambery Airport. Dropping off for departing flights is simple as the airport is quite small and the parking is very close to the terminal. Your driver will drop you as close as possible to the check in area.
