Follow the masses from Geneva to Avoriaz, the highest town in the colossus known as the Portes du Soleil ski area. The town provides the practicalities of a ski-in ski-out ski resort without sacrificing on its traditional charm. Boasting the best overall snowfall of last winter and holding the title of “Best Family Ski Resort” at last year’s World Snow Awards in London, it’s easy to see why Avoriaz is so popular amongst snow enthusiasts. The local pistes range from the gentle and broad blues under the treeline to the more advanced and technical reds and blacks a little higher up. Be sure to check out the “Swiss Wall”, one of the most infamous and challenging ski runs in the world. But for those not up to the task, don’t worry - the chairlift takes you down too! The transfer from Geneva to Avoriaz is easy and quick, making it is incredibly practical for short ski breaks as well as week-long holidays.

Avoriaz transfer times (approximate times based on normal road conditions)
Geneva 1 hour 40 minutes
Lyon 3 hours 15 minutes
Geneva transfers to Avoriaz take just an hour and 45 minutes, passing through the resorts of Les Gets and Morzine. It can be very busy on Saturdays and Sundays as both are big changeover days in resort. Other than holidaymakers taking transfers from Geneva to Avoriaz, the town attracts a lot of day skiers, due to its proximity to many local towns and cities. This can severely increase the volume of traffic on the road. All Avoriaz transfer services exit via the same road that services Morzine and Les Gets, so we always exercise caution and extend departure times on the weekends from New Year until the end of March. We also offer a shared service on all transfers to Avoriaz from Geneva Airport.
